Ambassadors

The STEP UP Ambassadors are a group of STEP UP teachers and members who are committed to the goal of inspiring young women to pursue physics. This is done through training and supported implementation of the STEP UP curriculum in classrooms around the country.

The 2019-2020 cohort is here, the 2020-2021 cohort is here, the 2021-2022 Advocates cohort is here, and you can also see a map of Ambassador locations. To contact an Ambassador, submit a request at our Contact Us page or join the online community to chat with them there.

2022-2023 Ambassador Cohort Update:

Unfortunately we will not have an Ambassador cohort for the 2022-2023 school year. We have secured a generous grant from the Moore Foundation that will help fund the STEP UP program for the next four years (2022-26). The grant will help the STEP UP team increase our network, while testing new models of propagating our mission and vision to larger and larger audiences, including local universities. Our efforts will revolve around three large districts–the New York City Department of Education, Chicago Public Schools, and the Los Angeles Unified School District. If you teach in these districts (or know anyone) and would be interested in increasing the reach of the STEP UP program, please contact: STEPUPphysics@aps.org.
