We need you to take action for women in physics!

Are you a high school counselor interested in learning more about how physics can help your students pursue successful careers?

When students take physics in high school, they:

  • Improve their critical thinking & problem-solving skills
  • Strengthen math skills
  • Are more likely to be accepted into college


If students pursue physics in college, they are more likely to:

  • Earn high salaries and have high employment rates (AIP, 2016)
  • Earn high scores on both the LSAT and the MCAT (see chart below)


A physics degree means students can pursue many different careers. You can explore the diversity of physics careers here and learn more about “myths about physics.”
