DPP Families and Meeting Accessibility Grants

Application Deadline: Wednesday, August 24, 2022

Grants of up to $400 per family are available to assist DPP registrants who bring young children to the meeting or who incur extra expense in leaving them at home (i.e., extra daycare, babysitting services, or elder care).

Expenses must be documented by receipts and the application must include an estimate of the expected expenses. If the number of requests exceeds the funding available, we will give pref»arly career applicants, especially postdocs and graduate students.

Reimbursement covers travel expenses (car or public transportation) only and does not cover meals. Receipts for reimbursement must be received by Friday, November 25, 2022. Copies of actual receipts must be submitted. For questions, please contact Jeremiah Williams, Jeremiah Williams.

Caregiver/Children's Room

Location: Room 203, Spokane Convention Center

A caregiver/children's room will be available in the Spokane County Convention Center for parents or caregivers to use at no cost to attendees. The room is intended for parents or caregivers who have brought infants or young children to the annual meeting. The room will be furnished with comfortable furniture and with a limited number of toys, natural organic snacks, and beverages for the children.

Note: Neither APS nor DPP will assume responsibility for providing supervised child care.

Tuesday, October 18 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Wednesday, October 19 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Thursday, October 20 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Friday, October 21 8 a.m. - 12:35 p.m.
Note: The Lactation Room at the Spokane Convention Center will be in Room 111A. Drop by the APS Information Booth or the DPP Registration desk to get the access code.
