APS DPP Annual Meeting

General Information

The 68th Annual Meeting of the APS Division of Plasma Physics and the 79th Annual Gaseous Electronics Conference will be co-located as the APS Division of Plasma Physics and Gaseous Electronics Conference Joint Meeting. 
 
In-person scientific research sessions will take place at the Hilton Chicago Hotel, located at 720 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60605. Virtual-only sessions and on-demand posters will be available for DPP presenters unable to travel to Chicago.

Nominate an Invited Speaker

• Open Date: Monday, March 2, 2026
• Close Date: Monday, May 4, 2026, 11:59 PM Eastern Time

• DPP encourages you to submit an online nomination for an invited, or review, or tutorial talk. You must be an APS member, to submit an invited nomination. All information should be included in the online nomination form.

Call for Mini-Conference Proposals 

• Open Date: Monday, March 2, 2026
• Close Date: Wednesday, April 15, 2026, 11:59 PM Eastern Time
• Submit a 2026 Mini-Conference proposal to the DPP Program Chair, Félicie Albert with a copy to the DPP Administrator, Saralyn Stewart. Prior to submitting a proposal review DPP Mini-Conference Guidelines.

Travel

• Chicago-O'Hare International Airport (CDA) offers multiple domestic and international carriers. Go to FAQ for available ground transportation inquiries. Distance to the Hilton is 18 miles.
• Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW) offers alternative commercial airline carriers. Several public transit options are available. Distance to the Hilton is 12 miles.

Prepare

• Poster boards are freestanding, with a display area measuring four (4) feet high by eight (8) feet wide (1.22 x 2.44 meters). Push-pins are provided. 
• Oral presentations are set to project widescreen 16.9 format.
