APS DPP Annual Meeting

68th Annual Meeting of the APS Division of Plasma Physics
Held jointly with the 79th Gaseous Electronics Conference

Attendees of any APS in-person or virtual events are expected to meet standards of professional conduct as described in the APS Code of Conduct. Violations of these standards may disqualify people from future participation.

General Information

The 68th Annual Meeting of the APS Division of Plasma Physics and the 79th Annual Gaseous Electronics Conference will be co-located as the APS Division of Plasma Physics and Gaseous Electronics Conference Joint Meeting. 
 
In-person scientific research sessions (see the meeting schedule) will take place at the Hilton Chicago Hotel, located at 720 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60605. Virtual-only sessions and on-demand posters will be available for DPP presenters unable to travel to Chicago.

  • Poster boards are freestanding, with a display area measuring four (4) feet high by eight (8) feet wide (1.22 x 2.44 meters). Push-pins are provided. 
  • Oral presentations are set to project widescreen 16.9 format.

Nominate a Speaker for an Invited Talk Post-Deadline Paper

A few slots have been set aside for invited talk post-deadline papers on late-breaking, important scientific results to be presented during the DPP annual meeting. Speaker eligibility is the same for a regular invited talk, via the online nomination portal. The DPP Program Committee will accept nominations for new research material that was not available at the time of the regular invited talk nominations in March. DPP accepts self-nominations for invited talks. The deadline for all post-deadline submissions is October 2, 2026.
