Abstract Submission

Thank you for your interest in the DPP annual meeting.
The first author is the primary presenting author and is taken as a representation that he/she is expected to participate in the meeting. APS members may submit a contributed abstract for which a non-member is listed as first author.
Multiple Abstract Submissions Policy
- An invited speaker is allowed one additional abstract submission.
- A first author is allowed to submit an abstract to a single mini-conference. That author is allowed only one additional oral or poster contributed abstract submission in a regular session. Any additional abstract submissions by the same first author will be assigned to the Supplemental Poster Session on Friday morning.
- A first author who submits an education and outreach abstract is allowed one additional abstract submission in a regular session.
- A first author can submit one oral contributed abstract and one poster presentation assigned to a regular session. Any additional abstract submissions by the same first author will be assigned to the Supplemental Poster Session on Friday morning
Submit an Abstract
Start Call for Abstracts by logging into the 65th Annual Meeting of the Division of Plasma Physics General Data Protection Regulation page and follow the permission to use your data process. Review the Contributed Abstract Submission Guidelines.
Click the box to start submitting your abstract and proceed.Contributed abstract body text is approximately 1300 characters (about 250 words). Invited submissions should not exceed 2,000 characters. Review Tips for Writing a Title and Abstract.
DPP Invited speakers will submit their abstract through the unique link provided in their invitation letter sent mid-June 2023. The invitation letter will include all Invited speaker details and abstract submission instructions.
To speed up submission know the number of authors, select the appropriate Sorting Category, and proofread the abstract. List Team and Funding Acknowledgements. Special Instructions are helpful to the APS staff and the DPP Program Committee members. Add Publications Reference and check the appropriate bullet to be considered highlighting your research to the media.

Poster Session boards are freestanding, with a display area measuring four (4) feet high by eight (8) feet wide (1.22 x 2.44 meters). Push-pins are provided.
Undergraduate or High School Students Doing Research
There will be an afternoon poster session, “Undergraduate/High School Research” on
Monday, October 30. For the twentieth year, DPP will present an outstanding poster award to a number of undergraduate students. This poster session provides an opportunity for undergrads to present results from summer and thesis research, as well as to meet other plasma physicists, such as early career, senior researchers, and other students.
Undergraduate or high school students should submit their abstracts as contributed posters following the abstract submission procedure as outlined above. To present in the Tuesday afternoon poster session please select either Sorting Category 10.01 (High-school research) or 10.02 (Undergraduate research).

DPP will waive the registration fee for undergraduate or high school research presenters. Indicate “undergrad” or “high-school research” on a downloaded Registration Form, scan it and email it to the APS Registrar. Registrar contact information is listed on the form.
