Registration Fees

Online Registration is available to members and nonmembers. Individuals registering online must pay by credit card and can immediately print a confirmation (receipt). Registration Fees do NOT include meals, parking fees, or transportation costs.

The last day for early registration is Friday, October 15, 2021, at 11:59 pm Eastern Daylight Time. The higher registration fees start at 12:00 am on October 16.

Note: The 2021 registration fees are the same for both in-person and virtual due to the additional cost of a hybrid meeting and providing two-way livestreaming, virtual access, and online storage of talks and posters.

*By joining APS DPP you can take advantage of low meeting fees and other member benefits. Registration forms and membership forms must arrive together and be accompanied with full credit card payment.
**Graduate physics students may qualify for a one-year free APS DPP membership. Contact APS Membership.
***Undergraduates and high school students will only see the zero dollar rates ($0) if their APS web account is configured correctly. Go here to make sure the student flag is set to "Yes" and the degree and expected degree date information is updated.

Mail or Fax Registration

You can also register by mail or fax. Please complete the DPP Registration Form. Mail or fax the form with your credit card information as per the form.

Member Registration

Members receive substantial discounts compared to non-members. You can join APS and DPP, renew, or reinstate your membership when you register for the meeting.

Nonmember Registration

The nonmember fee is higher for both early and on-site registration. Save on registration fees by joining APS and DPP.

Nonmembers may register online. If you are not yet a member and wish to receive member discounts, you may join APS and DPP when you register.

Students join APS!

  • Join APS and DPP before registering: (1) Wait approximately 2 business days to receive verification of status, (2) register for the DPP annual meeting, (3) include payment for both registration and membership. Students who have been approved to join and have registered for the DPP annual meeting can immediately print a receipt.

Undergraduate Student Registration

Registration is free for undergraduate students, but not graduate students. Undergraduates who wish to take advantage of free registration must join.

Members of APS Reciprocal Societies

Members of APS Reciprocal Societies should NOT register online. Instead, please download and complete the DPP Registration Form. Fax or mail the form with your credit card information on the form. See the list of reciprocal member societies.

Matching Membership Program

Through the Matching Membership Program, individuals residing in developing countries may apply for free membership.

International Attendee Registration Visa Information

We strongly recommend international attendees review the APS visa information before registering for the annual meeting. To avoid visa-related problems, review the Visa Delays page. For additional information, review the Entering the United States page.

Visa Letter of Invitation

If you require a personal letter of invitation to attend the DPP annual meeting contact Saralyn Stewart. To avoid delay when requesting a letter please include:

  • Your name as it appears on your passport
  • Your affiliation and mailing address
  • Your submitted abstract title and co-authors

Allow 5-7 business days to receive your letter of invitation for visa application.

Cancellation Policies

Deadline: November 4, 2021

Banquet tickets are non-refundable for both pre-meeting and on-site purchases. If you cancel your registration, you must do so in writing (email accepted). Written cancellations must be sent to APS the APS Registrar by November 4, 2021. All cancellations are assessed a $50 cancellation fee regardless of the reason for canceling.
