APS DPP Annual Meeting

66th Annual Meeting of the APS Division of Plasma Physics

October 7-11, 2024 • Atlanta, Georgia USA

Attendees of any APS in-person or virtual events are expected to meet standards of professional conduct as described in the APS Code of Conduct. Violations of these standards may disqualify people from future participation.

Please complete the voluntary APS DPP Demographics Survey to help us ensure equality of opportunity at DPP

This personal demographic information submission is completely voluntary but urgently needed. This data will allow the division to identify equity gaps, monitor solutions to close them, and readjust strategies as needed to eliminate systemic disparities.

APS DPP is creating a secure demographic database of its members. This database will be used to produce non-identifying demographic numbers sorted by category for multiple query types. The individual demographic information will only be queryable via the database access prompt and only accessed by the Demographic Database Curator on APS Staff.

Any member of the division with communal responsibilities (I.e. committees, working groups, selection boards and the like) identified by the ExCOMM, will be able and encouraged to submit queries. There will be a minimum number of names for any submission and specific community rules of no harm instated to protect member identities. We will use this database for multiple query types (e.g. award histories, invited talk statistics, etc.) to identify and remediate equity gaps across the division.

Please direct questions or concerns to the DPP Chair at zweibel@astro.wisc.edu.
