School Scheduling Recommendations
Students and teachers can register to attend during school hours. Registration is required.
School visits are scheduled in 90-minute intervals from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Registration for the Plasma Science Student Expo will be confirmed on a first-come basis. Due to overwhelming demand and an effort to accommodate as many deserving students as possible, we may limit attendance at the Plasma Science Expo to three buses per day per school. We may revise this limit as we approach the event if we feel we can accommodate more.
Arrival and departure schedules are required to ensure that all students enjoy a quality visit with the scientists and exhibits.
Because the Expo requires some active participation from those attending, we recommend students be selected for this field trip based on their interest in physical sciences.
We normally do not ask a group to leave, but staying as close as possible to the schedule is crucial for the enjoyment of all attending. Another option for visiting the Plasma Science Student Expo with less time restriction is the general public evening session.
School Bus and Substitute Teacher Funding
There is limited funding available for reimbursement of student bus transportation and substitute teacher costs. Funding requests may be made following the event.
