DSOFT Travel Grants
DSOFT will award up to ten travel grants. Each grant will reimburse travel of up to $500 per contributing first author student oral presentations in sessions sponsored by DSOFT at the APS March Meeting. Applicants will be chosen on the basis of the quality of their work as evidenced by the abstract of the paper, a letter of support from their thesis advisor and the travel distance. Applicants must be PhD students at the time of the March Meeting.
Both student and advisor, domestic or foreign, must be members of DSOFT, not just APS. New members can sign up here and are encouraged to do so before the application deadline, for verification purposes. A student may only receive DSOFT Travel Award once during their PhD.
Submissions and letter of support requests can be made through this form.
All application requests must be made by December 17, 2021.
Decisions for the awards will be sent by email to the applicants before the APS March Meeting with instructions on how to receive reimbursement checks.
