The International Conference on the Science of Compression in Condensed Matter is pleased to announce its upcoming gathering of leading scientists, engineers, students, and industry professionals. This premier event, set in the heart of Washington DC, aims to explore the cutting-edge advancements and the latest research findings in all timescales of compression within condensed matter physics: static, dynamic and shock.
SCCM 2025 is 24th biennial conference, presented by the APS Topical Group on Compression of Condensed Matter, GCCM.
Conference Highlights:
- New for 2025: For the first time since its inception, SCCM 2025 will combine all timescales of compression, from static to dynamic and shock in 28 sorting categories, with many opportunities for combined static/dynamic sessions.
- Technical Sessions: Dive deep into a wide array of topics including but not limited to EOS, energetic materials, phase transitions, static high-pressure, computational methods, multi-scale modeling, material synthesis under extreme conditions. Scroll down for a complete list of Sorting Categories.
- Masterclasses: Engage in primers and interactive tutorials, Monday through Friday, designed to enhance knowledge and practical skills in advanced experimental and computational techniques: Intro to Shock Physics, DACs, EoS Design and more.
- Poster Sessions: An opportunity for emerging scientists and researchers to showcase their work and engage in valuable discussions with peers and experts.
- Networking Events: Connect with fellow researchers, leaders, and potential collaborators through multiple events: Receptions, poster session, diversity lunch, banquet and more.
SCCM 2025 Team: Meet the blend of scientists from various fields and institutions in static and dynamic compression.
