Distinguished Student (DS) Program

The Forum on International Physics invites applicants for the Distinguished Student Program, which recognizes outstanding students in any field of physics. Both graduate students and exceptional undergraduate students will be considered for awards to support travel to make presentations at either of the two APS annual meetings.

International Research Travel Award Program

The purpose of the APS International Research and Travel Award Program (IRTAP) is to promote international research collaborations between physicists in high-incomes countries and lesser-resourced countries by awarding up to two $2,200 reimbursements for travel and lodging expenses while visiting a collaborator abroad.

To honor and recognize the dedication of physicists who have made contributions to the development of physics in countries of the third world.

Nominees for and holders of APS Honors (prizes, awards, and fellowship) and official leadership positions are expected to meet standards of professional conduct and integrity as described in the APS Ethics Guidelines. Violations of these standards may disqualify people from consideration or lead to revocation of honors or removal from office.
