APS Congressional Fellowship- expanded eligibility - Apply by Dec. 1
Each year an APS member is selected to be a Congressional Science Fellow working in a Congressional office. APS sponsors the fellowship as a public service by making available individuals with scientific knowledge and skills to members of Congress, few of whom have a technical background. In turn, the program enables scientists to broaden their experience through direct involvement with legislative and policymaking processes and to make a difference in the physics community. Fellows serve one year on the staff of a senator, representative, or congressional committee beginning September 2024. Many fellows make connections that allow them to continue careers in science policy or public service.
