The Division of Biological Physics (DBIO) needs your help to build our program for the 2025 APS March Meeting, which will take place in Anaheim, California on March 16 - 21, 2025.
We are looking for your ideas to help create an exciting meeting. Currently we are soliciting volunteers to organize Focus Sessions. A Focus Session consists of 1-2 invited talks plus 9-12 contributed talks. (A call for Invited Sessions will happen later on.) There are two ways you can help. Please fill out the forms linked below:
- Volunteer to lead a pre-identified Focus Session. Based on their success at the last meeting, we have identified several Focus Session topics that span the breadth of DBIO interests and will automatically be sponsored for 2025. Please review this list before proposing a new session.
- Submit a proposal for a new Focus Session. Use this mechanism to propose a new or emerging topic that will draw sufficient contributions from the DBIO community to fill up a session.
You can find a link here to DBIO sessions from the 2024 meeting.
Note: A call for Invited Sessions will be made later on.
Submissions are due by May 23, 2024. Early-career members, including postdoctoral scholars and new investigators, are especially encouraged to participate. This is a great way to build your scientific community. DBIO is committed to a program that highlights the breadth of the biological physics community. Your participation in this process is essential to ensure this!
More information about proposing and leading APS sessions is available from this DBIO workshop video.
