Student Travel Grants

Travel support will be available this year for students in the geographical region encompassed by SESAPS who are also members of SESAPS. (Once you are a member of the APS, joining SESAPS is free; go to the SESAPS main web site and click on "Join This Unit" from the right-hand column.) Undergraduate and graduate students who are the first author on research papers in a SESAPS (not SPS) session are eligible for modest travel grants. The total funds available will be about $10,000, with a maximum grant of $500 to a single individual. We hope that this will provide encouragement to those students considering the submission of a paper.

Please complete the SESAPS Travel Grant Form and email it to SESAPSTravelGrants@gmail.com by midnight, EST, one week after the abstract deadline found on the SESAPS meeting website. Also required is a brief e-mail message of support from the student's advisor, sent to the e-mail address above.

Deadline: One week after the abstract deadline for the SESAPS meeting.

Nominees for and holders of APS Honors (prizes, awards, and fellowship) and official leadership positions are expected to meet standards of professional conduct and integrity as described in the APS Ethics Guidelines. Violations of these standards may disqualify people from consideration or lead to revocation of honors or removal from office.
