To recognize physicists who have been instrumental in the development of measurement techniques or equipment that have impact on the physics community by providing better measurements.

Student Travel Grant Award

The Instrument and Measurement Group will award a limited number of travel grants of up to $500 each to students as the first author of contributed papers (talks or posters) in sessions sponsored by GIMS at the March Meeting. Applicants will be chosen on the basis of the quality of their work as evidenced by the abstract of the paper and a letter of support from their thesis advisor. The student must be a member of GIMS.

Nominees for and holders of APS Honors (prizes, awards, and fellowship) and official leadership positions are expected to meet standards of professional conduct and integrity as described in the APS Ethics Guidelines.
