Community Engagement Award

DNP Community Engagement Award

Purpose

The DNP Community Engagement Award serves to recognize those at the early career level and below (students, postdocs, and early career faculty/staff) who have made substantial contributions to the nuclear physics community through the activities of the DNP.

Eligibility

Nominees must be active members of the DNP who have engaged the community in the early stages of their career. There are no time limits on contributions that can be recognized by this award, i.e. members can be recognized for service contributed at the early career level even if they are now regular members.

Nominations will remain active for three years. No more than two recipients will be selected per year unless a group nomination has been submitted, then a larger recipient pool will be considered.

Nomination Process

Nominations should be limited to a one-page description of the candidate's contributions to nuclear physics through the DNP, plus an optional listing of other relevant information. Duplicate nominations are not helpful.

Self-nominations will not be accepted.

Nominations will open in November and close March 1, 2025. Winners will be announced late summer 2025.
