Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma Section Distinguished Service Awards (TAOAPS-DSA)

Since 2009, the Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma Section of the American Physical Society honors each year one or more of individuals that have made a significant contribution to the programs of the Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma Section and/or the Texas Physics community with a Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma Section Distinguished Service Award. A committee consisting of two members and two former recipients recommends one or more awardees and the executive committee votes on their recommendation.

Student Travel Awards

TAOAPS offers student travel awards to encourage undergraduate and graduate members to make presentations at our meetings. Students should consult online meeting information for specific details and deadlines.

Nominees for and holders of APS Honors (prizes, awards, and fellowship) and official leadership positions are expected to meet standards of professional conduct and integrity as described in the APS Ethics Guidelines. Violations of these standards may disqualify people from consideration or lead to revocation of honors or removal from office.
