Upcoming Meetings

The New England Section of the American Physical Society organizes two main meetings annually - a Fall meeting and a Spring meeting. Each meeting usually revolves around a chosen theme but accepts contributed papers from all other areas of physics, and includes invited talks and a banquet.

In an effort to help disseminate as much physics-related information as possible, this site lists physics-related colloquia, talks, and special programs such as NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates programs in the New England region. For information on how to advertise your talk or program contact the Current Chair of the Section.

The Section strongly encourages the active participation of students (undergraduates and graduates) in its meetings. Student presenters (one presenter per paper) may be reimbursed up to $300 for registration fees, abstract publication fees, banquet tickets, hotels, meals, and travel to and from the meeting.

Attendees of any APS in-person or virtual events are expected to meet standards of professional conduct as described in the APS Code of Conduct. Violations of these standards may disqualify people from future participation.
