Publication Committee
Membership
The Publication Committee consists of three appointed members serving staggered three-year terms plus ex-officio members. One new person is appointed each year by the DPB Chair upon recommendation of the DPB Nominating Committee. The newly appointed person serves the first year as Vice-Chair, the second as Chair, and the third as Past Chair. The term of service for an appointed member starts at the beginning of the calendar year following appointment. The ex-officio members, who serve without vote, are representatives from Editorial Boards of each of the Society publications in which the DPB membership traditionally publishes.
General Charge
The mission of the Publication Committee is to assure, on behalf of the DPB membership, that the archival record in Beam Physics in peer-reviewed journals is maintained in a vibrant and healthy state, and to strongly encourage the DPB membership to publish in such journals. In addition, the Publications Committee shall solicit articles for Physics News, shall interact with the Editors of key journals that publish articles in the area of Beam Physics on matters of interest to the Division, and shall serve as the Divisional interface with editors and publications for the popular press.
