Division of Chemical Physics Travel Awards

APS Division of Chemical Physics Travel Awards of up to $500 are available! These awards support travel for junior investigators to present a paper at a DCP-sponsored symposium at the APS Global Physics Summit. Eligible expenses include conference registration fee, reduced rate air fare or car travel, childcare, and economy room and board for the duration of the meeting.

Award Criteria

The work must be suitable for a presentation at a national APS meeting and must be submitted to one of the DCP-sponsored symposia.

Priority will be given to DCP members. The award is intended to go to undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs, and faculty in the first few years of their independent careers.

The applicant should submit the following material in a single pdf file:

The abstract describing the work that will be presented in one of the DCP symposia at the APS APS Global Physics Summit. The applicant should state in which symposium the work will be presented. Please also indicate if the applicant and the faculty advisor (if relevant) are current members of DCP.

The deadline for receipt of applications for travel awards to attend the March 2025 Meeting is November 1, 2024. Applications received after this deadline may be considered but will not be given priority.
