Please note revised deadline for submission of Invited Symposium Nominations is now July 24, 2023. The DCMP Invited Symposium program for the APS March Meeting (March 4-8, 2024, Minneapolis, MN) is dependent on the invited sessions that are nominated by DCMP members. All invited speakers that we host must be nominated in advance by a DCMP member as part of an invited symposium. DCMP will organize 30 Invited Symposia for March Meeting 2024. Historically, the success rate of a proposal is about 50% of the ~60 submitted. APS has released a new report that provides recommendations to strengthen the nation’s STEM workforce, including building research capacity among emerging research institutions (ERIs), establishing a clear path for international talent to study and work in the US, confronting hostile work environments, and addressing the shortage of qualified STEM teachers.
