APS DAP Caregiver Awards

APS Division of Astrophysics (DAP) Caregiver Awards for up to $500 in travel reimbursement are available! These awards support travel for caregivers who incur extra caregiver expenses to be able to participate in these conferences to enable them to present at the APS Global Physics Summit.

Eligible expenses include

  • Babysitters/caregivers (onsite at the conference location or at home)

  • Airfare/carfare/hotel for child and/or accompanying caregiver to travel to the conference location for the duration of the meeting

  • Per diem food rates for child or accompanying caregiver

  • Other associated expenses not listed here approved on case-by-case basis

Deadline

The deadline to submit your application for the 2026 Global Physics Summit is Oct 27, 2025 by 11:59 PM ET. Applicants will be notified of their status by the beginning of December 2025.
