Fall Meeting

APS Prairie Section Fall Meeting 2026 • Oct. 22–24 • University of Iowa

Attendees of any APS in-person or virtual events are expected to meet standards of professional conduct as described in the APS Code of Conduct. Violations of these standards may disqualify people from future participation.

We are excited to announce the next APS Prairie Conference!

This year’s meeting will be held October 22–24 at the University of Iowa, in Iowa City, Iowa.

Important Dates:

Registration opens on July 24.

Abstract submissions will open on July 24 and close on September 24.

When registering, you will have the option to register for the banquet dinner (held at the IMU). The cost of the banquet dinner is $ for non-students and $ for students. You may also buy dinner tickets for guests.

Highlights:

• Tour several University of Iowa research facilities, including the Iowa Spaceflight Lab, the Molecular Beam Epitaxy Lab, and the MatFAB Cleanroom.
• Participate in a career panel, a graduate school application panel, and an outreach-themed session featuring speakers from across the Prairie Section.
• Meeting features invited talks across the full spectrum of physics research.

Participation of graduate and undergraduate students is highly encouraged.
