The Prairie Section Fall Meeting will cover current issues in all fields of physics in our region, ranging from quantum information and material science, particle and nuclear physics, biophysics, and soft condensed matter, to astrophysics, education, and diversity. The broad plenary, parallel, and poster sessions provide an excellent forum for discussions.
  • The preliminary program and the registration information will be posted here soon.
  • Abstract submission for talks and posters is now open through Monday, October 4, 2021.
  • Students, this is a great chance to participate in a conference, and we especially welcome contributions from you. The Prairie Section will present awards for the best student posters and talks. First-time student applicants can join the APS for FREE!*
  • Local organizing committee:  Christopher White, Joseph Kozminski, Jason Keleher, and  Larry Lurio

*If the registration fee is not viable for some participating students, they may apply for a hardship waiver from the PSAPS by sending an email to: llurio@niu.edu
Subject: PSAPS student registration fee waiver request
The email should explain how the student will participate (e.g. by presenting a poster at the poster session), and the nature of the hardship
