The APS Mid-Atlantic Section is governed by an Executive Committee, which takes general charge of the affairs of the Section. All unit members in good standing are eligible to be elected and to nominate other eligible members. We are looking for candidates from diverse backgrounds to share the governance of the Section. We encourage early career members and student members to be part of the governing body.
We invite your nominations of candidates for the positions of Vice Chair and Student Member. Please note that the member elected as Vice Chair shall serve in that role for one year, then for one year as Chair-Elect, one year as Chair, and one year as Past Chair. It is a four-year commitment. The Student Member position serves for a term of one year.
If you wish to nominate yourself or another member as a candidate for election to an open position, please email your nomination to Burcu Ozden with the subject line "MAS Executive Committee Nomination". Nominations should include supportive remarks as well as contact information for each potential candidate. Self-nominations are welcome!
