The Texas A&M Department of Physics & Astronomy is offering a new one-day program, “Gateway to Grad School”, a free, one-day program for Freshmen and Sophomore undergraduates in Texas from historically-excluded backgrounds to visit Texas A&M and learn about graduate school in Physics & Astronomy.

During the visit, students will learn what grad school is like and how it works, how to get into grad school, and some of the cutting-edge science in which graduate students at TAMU are involved.

This program is for students from historically-excluded backgrounds in physics & astronomy, including Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, Asian, Middle Eastern/North African, and LGBTQ+ students. All majors are encouraged to apply.

Gateway to Graduate School will pay for hotel rooms and meals, as well as provide travel funds for attendees. The program will also be available to attend via Zoom.
