I'm a Seattle native and moved to Maryland a few years ago to study Physics at The University of Maryland, College Park. During undergrad I was very involved in student organizations. I served as Secretary and President of The Society of Physics Students at UMD, as well as President of The American Nuclear Society UMD Student Section. I was an officer of Women in Physics at UMD, and a fellow with The Access Network - Equity Constellation.
I'm passionate about public and government relations, scientific policy and advocacy, and creating an equitable and inclusive science community. I've worked with various scientific, non-profit organizations fighting for diversity and inclusion, and making science and higher education accessible to marginalized populations. I am interested in furthering this mission for an inclusive science community through productive pathways for meaningful and substantial societal change.
