This month’s GIMS colloquium will introduce us to gamma-ray spectroscopy from fast and violent events! As is our practice, the first half-hour will feature an introduction by a senior researcher, and the second half-hour will highlight work by a newer researcher. Instruction on how to join the webinar is provided below.
(The first half hour) Title: “Cherenkov Radiation Techniques for High-Energy, Gamma-ray Spectroscopy Applications at the Omega Laser and National Ignition Facilities”
Speaker: Hans Herrmann, Los Alamos National Laboratory (2019 APS GIMS Fellow)
(The second half of the hour) Title: “The new Pulse Dilation – Photomultiplier Tube (PD-PMT) for Gamma Reaction History measurements at the National Ignition Facility”
Speaker: Hermann Geppert-Kleinrath, Postdoctoral Scholar, Los Alamos National Laboratory
