Dwight Nicholson Medal for Outreach

To recognize the humanitarian aspect of physics and physicists. Recognition consists of the Nicholson medal, a $3000 stipend and up to $1500 in travel funds to attend an APS meeting and present an invited talk.

FOEP Travel Grant

The American Physical Society (APS) Forum on Outreach and Engaging the Public, or FOEP, recognizes that graduate students are some of our best science communicators. Any graduate student who will be presenting an abstract related to outreach or the engagement of the public is welcome to apply for our FOEP travel grant.

Nominees for and holders of APS Honors (prizes, awards, and fellowship) and official leadership positions are expected to meet standards of professional conduct and integrity as described in the APS Ethics Guidelines. Violations of these standards may disqualify people from consideration or lead to revocation of honors or removal from office.
