DAMOP 2022 will be a hybrid meeting

Registration for the 2022 DAMOP meeting is open!  You may choose to register as either an in-person or a remote participant.

The 2022 DAMOP meeting in Orlando, Florida from May 30 through June 4, 2022 will take on a hybrid format – different in structure from either a fully in-person meeting or the remote meetings of the past two years. Our hope is that the hybrid format will expand the reach of the DAMOP meeting while bringing back the strengths of the in-person meeting.

Please take time to familiarize yourself with the structure of the hybrid meeting as you register and plan for your presentations.

Invited & Focus Sessions will be live-streamed for remote participants. Invited and focus sessions for DAMOP will be live streamed to the meeting’s virtual platform. Speakers in these sessions will be able to present in-person in Orlando or remotely. Remote meeting attendees will be able to submit questions to the speakers during the session.   Further, these sessions will be recorded and made available on-demand to all registered attendees.

Contributed Sessions will be pre-recorded for remote participants.  Contributed oral sessions will not be live-streamed.  All speakers in contributed sessions, whether attending in-person or participating remotely will need to submit a recorded version of their talk in advance of the meeting. Presenters in Orlando, will be able to give their talk to the audience as they have in the past. APS will play recorded versions of talks contributed by remote presenters during the in-person sessions. Remote attendees will only be able to view the recorded talks and will be able to ask questions of speakers off-line through an asynchronous chat window in the virtual platform.

Poster Sessions will have both in-person and electronic versions. All poster-presenters will need to upload a pdf e-poster and an optional MP4 video to the virtual platform for viewing by all meeting participants.  In-person poster sessions will occur as they have in the past.  Remote participants will only be able to view the e-posters and videos, and will be able to ask questions of speakers off-line.
