For researchers interested in mathematical modeling of epidemiology, the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute held a virtual workshop on August 12 - 14, 2020, titled "Mathematical Models for Prediction and Control of Epidemics."
The workshop brought together researchers from epidemiology, global health, and mathematics to discuss challenges in developing predictive models for epidemics as well as policies and algorithmic solutions for their control and mitigation. It will thus give the mathematical community access to some of the challenging issues and mathematical problems in the field.
Speakers included Marc Lipsitch, Lauren Ancel Meyers, and Bin Yu.
